Disturbing footage has been released online that sees a toddler kicking, hitting and swearing at police in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The footage was recorded last week while police were at a home to serve a search warrant in the hunt for a murder suspect.

The child is among a crowd of half-naked young children including one little girl wearing a diaper.

‘F*** off b****!’ the toddler repeats several times before slapping the officer and then crouching down in anger.

Police officers with St. Paul police could only look on as they were abused by small children in the street

One bystander can be heard encouraging the children saying the term ‘Oreo head,’ a direct reference to a black police officer who was also at the scene.

The children continue to pummel the police with their tiny fists whilst the officers could be seen trying to calm them down. The cops could be seen reaching out but the youngsters continues to lunge and hit them.

The officers all managed to show restraint against the toddlers who were easily kept at bay.

‘Children who can’t read or cross the street unattended hurled profanities and unabashed disrespect at law enforcement officers,’ wrote Sheila Qualls at Alpha News a news website that claims to report stories ‘mainstream media all too often refuses to report and routinely disregards.’

‘They cussed, berated, and struck police officers with their fists. This video is disgraceful. Heartbreaking. It is unsettling to law enforcement officers who encounter this behavior daily. It should be frightening to all of us. It should be embarrassing to leaders who have failed to lead a community toward virtue and morality,’ Qualls wrote.

‘We can do better, and we must. Let’s stop playing politics with our children’s lives. I do not believe this is what civil rights leaders wanted for the future of the black community. These children and our country deserve better.’

Crime has been on the rise in Minneapolis and St. Paul suburbs over the last two years.

The number of murders in Minnesota increased an alarming 58 percent in 2020 and set a new record, after the state became the epicenter of demands to ‘defund’ the police in the wake of the killing of George Floyd, new data show.

In 2020, 185 people were murdered across the state, marking an all-time high and sharp increase from 117 the year before, according to the state’s Uniform Crime Report.

‘A large number of crimes can be a one-person crime wave, particularly in a suburban area with a relatively small population,’ Chris Uggen, a professor and criminologist at the University of Minnesota told the Star Tribune.

‘The numbers then go up, and the fear goes up, but it can still be a relatively small number of people who are actually doing the activities.’

Violent crimes have surged in the Twin Cities with a record 135 homicides in 2021. It compares with 22 in 2019

While the suburbs did not see an increase in violent crimes, nearly all saw increases in property crimes including thefts.

Crime began noticeably increasing in 2020 with a summer of riots and protests.

Minneapolis was at the epicenter of the protests and riots following the death of George Floyd who was killed during an interaction with city police.

‘You have the unrest, you have the pandemic, you have the deaths of George Floyd, the next year you have the death of Daunte Wright,’ said Star Tribune data journalist Jeff Hargarten explained.

DailyMail.com has reached out to the St.Paul police force for comment on the interaction with the children.

The video went viral on Twitter with many users shocked by what they had witnessed.

‘These are not parents, this child has so much violence and hate that I don’t think he has ever had a person read to him, cook him a meal that he can rely on daily. Give him a hug daily. He has only seen ugliness & can’t imagine how he is Spoken to & beaten daily this he knows,’ tweeted Kristiana C.

‘So much rage. That’s not normal for a child. Also not normal-out on the street, unsupervised, in their underwear. Neglected, abused, and totally bereft of hope. Why are we, as a culture, accepting this? And how do we turn it around? NO child should live like this,’ added Rochelle Wentz.

‘I would have been in big trouble with my father if I acted that way,’ shared Charlie Theriault.

‘No discipline turns people into animals. It’s discipline that makes us less like beasts, and more like angels,’ added another user.

‘This is definitely learned hate. And the language is abhorrent, it is not cute or funny. If they have no respect for authority then they will probably have no respect for teachers either,’ wrote another Twitter user.
