January 31, 2023A WOMAN has been banned from driving after downing booze then weaving across the road in her Mercedes.
Jamie Couzens was stopped by police on the A28 near Canterbury, Kent, on Christmas Eve last year.
The 36-year-old failed a roadside breathalyser and was taken to a station where tests showed she had 41 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, KentOnline reports.
The legal limit is 35.
Couzens, from Kennington, Ashford, was charged with drink driving.
She admitted the offence at Folkestone Magistrates' Court on January 25.

Dylan Bradshaw prosecuting said: "After police stopped the vehicle and spoke to her she showed signs of impairment and failed the roadside breath test."
Defending herself, construction company worker Couzens said: "I am sorry. It was out of character for me."
Couzens was banned from the road for 12 months and fined £428.
District Judge Justin Barron also ordered her to pay a victim surcharge of £175 and £85 in court costs.
