Social media users exploded with funny memes declaring ‘we’re all doomed’ after Jeremy Hunt delivered his Autumn budget on Thursday.

A deluge of funny takes were posted on Twitter as the Chancellor unveiled a barrage of tax hikes and spending cuts that will see everyone pay more in a bid to shore up the government’s books. 

It comes as Mr Hunt warned Britons that they must make ‘sacrifices’ to weather turmoil at home and abroad.
