Reality star Stephen Bear's sentencing delayed for psychiatric reportJanuary 30, 2023
Shamed reality star Stephen Bear’s sentencing for sharing sex tape of ex Georgia Harrison on OnlyFans is delayed by a month for psychiatric report
- Bear was guilty of disclosing private sexual photos with intent to cause distress
- He was also found guilty by a majority verdict of voyeurism at trial last month
- Judge agreed for the Ex on the Beach star to be sentenced on Friday, March 3
Shamed reality star Stephen Bear’s sentencing for sharing a sex tape of ex-girlfriend Georgia Harrison on OnlyFans has been delayed by a month so a psychiatric report can be produced.
The former Ex on the Beach and Celebrity Big Brother star, 33, was found to have captured CCTV footage of the act in his back garden on August 2, 2020, and uploaded it online.
Ms Harrison, 28, said she did not know that they were being filmed and told Bear not to broadcast the footage when he showed it to her, but she said that he went on to share it on WhatsApp and the online subscription site.
Bear had denied all charges, but last month a jury found him guilty by unanimous verdicts of two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress. He was found guilty by a majority verdict of 10 jurors to two of voyeurism.

Bear, who faces up to two years in prison, was due to be sentenced tomorrow, but an application to adjourn the hearing until the beginning of March was made at a mention hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court this morning.
Defence barrister Gemma Rose told the court professionals who have assessed Bear so far were ‘unable to formally diagnose’ and that it would be ‘beneficial’ for a full test to be done, Essex Live reports.
She said: ‘The sentence should be adjourned for the wait to prepare this report. I realise the delay will cause stress and anxiety to all those involved in the proceedings, but it’s in my submission the court have all the evidence available before it.
‘The crown have cited Mr Bear’s behaviour at trial and I believe a psychiatric report will provide some context.’
Prosecuting barrister Jacqueline Carey KC said the crown did not oppose delaying the sentence and that Ms Harrison would attend the hearing and read her own victim impact statement to the court.
Judge Christopher Morgan listed the case to be heard on Friday, March 3 at the same court.
He added: ‘The defendant must be made aware of the new sentencing date and if he doesn’t attend without good reason a warrant could be issued for his arrest.’

During the trial, Bear would regularly arrive to court in a white Rolls Royce, dressed in a variety of gaudy suits and coats, flourishing a gold or silver cane, posing outside puffing on a huge cigar.
Following the conviction, Ms Harrison described the last two years as ‘absolute hell’.
She added: ‘I hope me taking a stand gives other men and women who have fallen victim to revenge porn the courage to seek justice and most importantly show them that they have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
‘I have felt ashamed, hurt, violated, even broken at times but today I stand here feeling empowered, grateful and a huge sense of unity with all of those who have reached out to support me throughout this ordeal.’
