Man stabbed to death in front of horrified shoppers near London's Oxford Street | The Sun
August 15, 2022A MAN has been stabbed to death in broad daylight near Oxford Street in London.
Police confirmed the victim died of knife wounds on Poland Street – just a stone's throw from Europe's busiest shopping street – shortly after midday today.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports of a stabbing at 11.40am.
Metropolitan Police officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance, but sadly the man could not be saved.
This afternoon a police cordon has blocked off Poland Street in the capital's iconic shopping district.
The police confirmed a man has been arrested in connection with the incident, but have not identified either the victim or suspect.

A statement from the Met Police said: "At 11:40hrs on Monday, 15 August police were called to reports of a stabbing in Poland Street, W1.
"Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.
"A man was found with stab wounds. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services he was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:20hrs.
"His identity has yet to be confirmed.
"A man has been arrested in connection with the incident."
Oxford Street runs from Tottenham Court Road to Marble Arch via Oxford Circus and welcomes around half a million visitors a day.
