Which B&M stores are closing?
The discount store will pull down the shutters at its Bishop Auckland branch in County Durham for the final time on Friday, May 5.
As a result, customers in the area will need to travel two miles to their next closest B&M store in Shildon once the Bishop Auckland closes for the final time.
Additionally, a B&M store in Widnes, Cheshire will shut on Wednesday, May 17, moving to a new location in the same town before it reopens on Wednesday, May 24.
B&M released the following statement on their website: ‘Your B&M Widnes store is moving from its current location at Bowers Retail Park to its new home at Widnes Trade Park (formerly The Range).’
‘We apologise for any inconvenience caused while we bring you a bigger and better B&M store.’
The chain’s Burnden Retail Park store in Bolton, Greater Manchester will also close for good on May 24.
However, shoppers will still be able to visit a nearby B&M, with another branch located in close proximity on Manchester Road.

How can I get a B&M discount?
In-store, B&M makes use of a barcode scanner app which allows customers to see items that are already discounted.
To use this feature, shoppers must download the B&M Stores mobile app, which is available to downloaded for free on your smartphone.
Once you have installed the app, click on the ‘scan’ button at the bottom of your homepage.
This will bring up the camera on your smartphone, so you can scan barcodes to see if they have been discounted.
If you find an item you want to scan, simply point your smartphone camera toward its barcode.
The app will then automatically show the item’s price, indicating if you benefit from a discount.
Bargain hunters say some items can cost as little as £1, 50p or even 10p through the app.
Shoppers should also keep an eye out for products with a white reduction sticker on, which indicates a reduced price from the original label.
