September 25, 2023KILLER nurse Lucy Letby is facing a retrial on one count of attempted murder against a baby girl.
Letby, 33, was previously convicted of murdering seven babies and trying to kill six others in a year-long reign of terror.
Jurors failed to reach verdicts on six counts of attempted murder relating to five babies.
Prosecutors revealed they are seeking a retrial against her on one of the outstanding counts relating to baby girl Child K.
They are not proceeding with the remaining five counts.
Letby, who appeared via videolink today from HMP New Hall, spoke only to confirm her name and that she could see and hear proceedings.
