A BODY has been found buried in the concrete wall of a popular bar in a French holiday hotspot.

The entombed corpse was discovered in the bar L'Atrium in downtown Nice after police found traces of blood during a search of the premises on Wednesday.

It had been buried in concrete in one of the bar's cellar walls on 66 Rue De France.

The unidentified victim was discovered on Wednesday, according to the AFP and BFM Nice Côte d'Azur.

The manager of the bar was arrested for "kidnapping and unlawful confinement resulting in death".

Several individuals are currently being detained and heard by police, Parvine Derivery, Nice Deputy Public Prosecutor, told AFP.

The bar manager has allegedly admitted to having a row with a man, killing him and sinking him in a concrete slab, according to a police source quoted by the news agency.
