A MUM says she passed out after 10 people stamped on her during concert chaos in Brixton last night which has left four people fighting for their lives.

The horror unfolded at the O2 Academy after police said they were called to reports a large number of people attempting to force entry into the venue.

Nigerian singer Asake was performing to a sold-out audience at the time, but his show was cut short.

Ten people were hurt in the chaos, with four critical. Another four were taken to hospital while two were treated at the scene.

A mum, who wanted to remain anonymous, said she was one of those rushed to St Thomas' Hospital.

Standing near the venue this morning, the Battersea woman said she thought she was going to die last night.

She bravely recalled: "When I fell I had more than 10 people on top of me – I couldn't breathe, I passed out.

"I thought I was dead. I’m just so grateful.

"A man pulled me out so when I woke up I was in the back of the ambulance, that's the last thing I knew.

"I took my last breath I couldn’t get any more oxygen out of me. I was so scared."

The mum said she had been queueing up outside to get into the gig with friends when chaos erupted.

She said: "The crowd was insane. They just came and pushed and I just felt, I went down.

"As I was trying to get up people were stepping on my head, they stepped all over me."

She continued: "It was horrendous. I’ve never seen anything like it."

The gig was called off part-way through, which angered many and sparked chaos as concert goers demanded to know why.

Delivering a message to fans inside the venue with a microphone, one man said: "3,000 people have broken the doors outside."

He added: "Because of security the police have asked us to close the show… this is nothing to do with us."

It came after Nigerian star Asake, 27, known for his hit Sungba, posted on his Instagram that there were no more tickets available.

Last night was the final of his three shows at the venue.

The street remained cordoned off this morning, with clothes and rubbish still littering the street.

A video has since emerged of a woman being thrown down stairs after tussle with cops, too.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, confirmed this morning than an "urgent investigation" was underway.

He posted to Twitter: "My thoughts are with all those affected by the awful incident in Brixton last night.

"Eight people were taken to hospital, with four in a critical condition. An urgent investigation is already underway.

"I remain in close contact with the Met Commissioner & emergency services."

The street remained cordoned off this morning, with clothes and rubbish still littering the street.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the force had reports of a large crowd trying to gain entry without tickets at 10.40pm.

He said: "Emergency services attended the O2 Academy in Brixton following reports that a number of people had been injured after a large crowd attempted to gain entry without tickets.
