AN ASDA delivery driver has been called a 'hero' for a heartwarming good deed for a 90-year-old customer.

Home delivery driver Michael, 23, arrived at an elderly shopper's home to discover her sat alone in the dark.

The lightbulbs had died in the elderly woman's flat, and said she couldn't change them as she struggles with mobility issues.

The OAP was left waiting in the dark for her carer to fix her lights, but kind-hearted Michael stepped in instead and changed the bulbs himself, reports Manchester Evening News.

"I couldn't leave her in the dark so I just asked her where her spare bulbs were and quickly changed them all. It only took a moment, but she was very grateful.

I will help anybody if I can. I love the interaction with all my customers" said Michael.
