Football star Cristiano Ronaldo wants to buy the golf clubhouse located next to his £17million mansion in Portugal so he can demolish it.
The billionaire Manchester United forward allegedly finds the clubhouse to be a ‘problem’ that obstructs his view at his villa, located along a prestigious, expensive area of Cascais that has been nicknamed the Portuguese Riviera.
Sources close to the star say he has offered to relocate the Oitavos Golf Club and its car park to an alternative location.
Mr Ronaldo, 37, plans to move to his ‘dream home’ at Quinta da Marinha with his partner Georgina Rodriguez, 28, and his five children.
Construction on the 12,000 square foot estate is expected to be completed early next year.

The former Real Madrid and Juventus star had previously set aside £10million for the build, but that has since almost doubled his budget due to the surge in cost of materials and Ronaldo his desire for ‘perfection’.
‘The clubhouse was a problem for him so he wants the problem removed,’ a source familiar with Mr Ronaldo’s dream home project told The Sun.
‘Cost is not an issue – he is a perfectionist who can afford perfection.’
The source claimed the champion football player’s attorneys met with golf club’s owner, Miguel Champalimaud, earlier this week in attempt to negotiate a deal.
Mr Champalimaud has not commented on the reports.
In addition to removing the golf clubhouse, insiders claim Mr Ronaldo also wants to create a drive to property and take measures to ensure his privacy.

The villa will feature ‘vast’ bedroom suites that all featuring stunning views of the sea, blueprints of the mansion reportedly show. The estate will house a cinema, spa, games room and office. Both indoor and outdoor swimming pools will be on site

Insiders claim Mr Ronaldo has added a garage equipped to house 30 supercars. It will utilise a lift system that will enable the athlete to select his vehicle of choice with the push of a button.
He is also said to be contemplating purchasing an Italian quarry to ensure the marble used in his estate remains exclusive.
Reports previously suggested that Mr Ronaldo, who is tipped to leave United, is planning to settle down at the villa with his family when he eventually hangs up his boots.

The Red Devils star has not shied away from paying top price for his housing.
He splashed out on the most expensive flat ever sold in Lisbon, Portugal’s capital city, in 2020 – paying £6.5m for a state-of-the-art 3,100-square foot pad in Avenida da Liberdade with a gym and an indoor swimming pool.
The star forward owns properties including a seven-storey apartment block in Funchal, Madeira, where his mother Dolores, 66, and brother Hugo live after he bought it two years ago.
Mr Ronaldo also owns a luxury villa in Turin, Italy from his time at Juventus, as well as a £4.8million mansion on a gated fortress estate called La Finca close to Madrid.
The alleged ‘retirement’ villa will be the latest property added to his real estate portfolio, although sport analysts note he doesn’t seem ready to retire just yet.
