Scots horrified at MASSIVE mound of rotten tea bags left to fester in filthy kitchen

September 30, 2021

SCOTS have been left horrified after a maintenance worker shared a picture of a mountain of used tea bags stacked up and left to fester in a dirty kitchen.

The photo, shared on Twitter by the friend of a maintenance worker, shows used rotting tea bags almost stacked up to the ceiling from the kitchen counter, while also covering the floor.

In the picture, a number of used milk cartons also appear to be left lying around the filthy kitchen – with no sign of a bin.

The kitchen counter appears to be stained by a dark looking colour.

Dirty dishes can also be seen surrounding the mucky tea bag pyramid.

The user tweeted: "My mate's dad had to go into a flat to do some maintenance and this was in the kitchen. I can't believe people live like this."

The picture, which was uploaded on Tuesday, has racked up thousands of reactions online.

It's garnered much attention from people aghast at the discovery from the worker.

One viewer commented: "I swear to God I would walk right out, my anxiety wouldn’t allow me to be in there for more than a couple of seconds."

While another wrote: "At what point do you decide to not just put them in the bin and just start a mountain."

A third viewer joked: "Fella needs to check himself into tea hab."

Tea manufacturer PG Tips also got involved, with the brand's official Twitter page writing: "Although this is a migh-tea pile, if you wanted a pyramid you should have used our bags."
