This is the hair-raising moment a thrill-seeker rides his speeding snowbike off the edge of a cliff before parachuting to safety.

Cody Matechuck, known more widely as Matechuck111 on social media, filmed the insane stunt in Whistler, British Colombia, Canada.

The 26-year-old plunged over the cliff face before deploying his parachute in a scene reminiscent of a Bond movie.

In the clip, the engine of the snowbike can be heard rumbling as Cody makes tracks through the thick layer of snow.

He grips the handlebars tight before suddenly accelerating in a straight line directly toward the cliff’s edge.

Cody rides straight off a make-shift snow ramp and is suddenly thrown through the air.

The adrenaline junkie then lets go of his bike and deploys his own parachute as well as that of his snowbike.

He can be heard shouting in excitement as he begins getting buffeted by the wind during his slow descent to the ground before landing successfully.

Speaking about the stunt, Cody, from Cochrane, Alberta, said: ‘I was super pumped that I found this location just earlier that week.
