Rumor: Enjin Will Power Samsung S10's Blockchain WalletFebruary 26, 2019
Enjin, the Singapore-based information-technology company, runs one of the largest gaming community platforms and has multiple blockchain products. Reportedly, it has been appointed by Samsung to implement their Enjin Wallet in Samsung’s new Galaxy S10 smartphone.
According to anonymous sources who reported to Asia Crypto Today on Monday, February 25, a leaked image of the Samsung Galaxy S10 shows the Enjin Wallet being used for Ethereum (ETH) transactions. The image also shows capabilities for Enjin Coin (ENJ) and Basic Attention Token (BAT).
Enjin Wallet in Samsung Galaxy S10?
According to the anonymous sources, the Enjin wallet will come pre-installed on the Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone, which is expected to be used by over 31 million users.
The Enjin Wallet is purportedly one of the simplest and most secure mobile cryptocurrency wallets to date, supporting Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 Tokens. The latter tokens are an asset class used to purchase and sell digital items in video games, establishing digital ownership.
Not as many crypto wallets support these types of assets, but it seems probable that Samsung would like a wallet that supports ERC-1155 tokens because they had previously stated that their phone will rely on decentralized technology to include in-game ownership, among other things.
Currently, the Engin Wallet is available for free download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store on both iOS and Android smartphones. However, the wallet does not yet come preinstalled on any devices and it would, therefore, be a big deal if it was adopted as the default Galaxy S10 digital assets blockchain wallet.
